Ehret 2008 Sauvignon Blanc, Knight's Valley

"Appealing for its refreshing spicy lime peel, tangerine, melon and green apple notes. Light-bodied and juicy with good intensity through the finish. Drink now. 500 cases made." –MW

Ehret 2006 Bella's Blend, Knight's Valley

A deeply impressive Bordeaux blend. It comes from this small, but prestigious, appellation, which is a bridge between Sonoma County and Napa Valley. Marked by dryness and a superb tannic structure, it has deep flavors of blackberries, black currants, violets, herbs and cedar. Needs time. Give it 4–6 years in the cellar. Cellar Selection.

Ehret 2005 "The Beginning" Cabernet Sauvignon, Knight's Valley

"Knights Valley, an inland Sonoma County region, is not well known, but is home to some impressive Cabernets.  This one, a first release, shows enormous promise.  It's made in the modern style, slightly soft but richly textured, with ripe currant, cherry, chocolate and new oak flavors that are grounded with an earthy note of olives and herbs.  This is a winery to keep an eye on." - SH, Wine Enthusiast, August 2008

Ehret 2006 Bella's Blend, Knight's Valley

This tasty dark ruby colored red blend was a new discovery for me at this years WBC. It opens with an attractive black cherry bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, nicely balanced, very smooth, and elegant. The flavor profile is a blend of blueberry and black cherry. The finish is dry and its fine tannins are nicely prolonged. Pair this attractive red with grilled barbecue short ribs and enjoy. Cheers - Ken, November 15, 2009

Ehret 2005 "The Beginning" Cabernet Sauvignon, Knight's Valley

THE WINE INSIDERS "OUTSTANDING 94" RATING:
The first thing you notice is its ultra rich and plushy texture, featuring satiny tannins that float across the palate with cocoa powder, blueberry, espresso, dark berries, tobacco, and a hint of cedar. Perfectly balanced it shows great complexity and a seemingly interminable finish that lingers delightfully for a full 30 seconds. Don’t miss this sumptuous new discovery destined for greater fame (and prices!) in vintages to come. Enjoy tonight or anytime over the next 5 years, peaking in 2010 in our estimate. 94 points.
