Reviews & Accolades of
Ehret 2005 Cabernet Sauvignon, Knight's Valley

90 Points - Wine Enthusiast
Ehret 2005 "The
Beginning" Cabernet Sauvignon, Knight's Valley
"Knights Valley, an inland Sonoma County region, is not
well known, but is home to some impressive Cabernets. This one,
a first release, shows enormous promise. It's made in the
modern style, slightly soft but richly textured, with ripe
currant, cherry, chocolate and new oak flavors that are grounded
with an earthy note of olives and herbs. This is a winery to
keep an eye on." - SH, Wine Enthusiast, August 2008

THE WINE INSIDERS "OUTSTANDING 94"
RATING:
The first thing you notice is its ultra rich and plushy texture,
featuring satiny tannins that float across the palate with cocoa
powder, blueberry, espresso, dark berries, tobacco, and a hint of
cedar. Perfectly balanced it shows great complexity and a seemingly
interminable finish that lingers delightfully for a full 30 seconds.
Don’t miss this sumptuous new discovery destined for greater fame
(and prices!) in vintages to come. Enjoy tonight or anytime over the
next 5 years, peaking in 2010 in our estimate. 94 points.
