Ehret 2006 Bella's Blend, Knight's
Valley
A deeply impressive Bordeaux blend. It comes from this small, but
prestigious, appellation, which is a bridge between Sonoma County
and Napa Valley. Marked by dryness and a superb tannic structure, it
has deep flavors of blackberries, black currants, violets, herbs and
cedar. Needs time. Give it 4–6 years in the cellar.
Cellar Selection.

This tasty dark ruby colored red blend was a new discovery for me at
this years WBC. It opens with an attractive black cherry bouquet. On
the palate, this wine is medium bodied, nicely balanced, very
smooth, and elegant. The flavor profile is a blend of blueberry and
black cherry. The finish is dry and its fine tannins are nicely
prolonged. Pair this attractive red with grilled barbecue short ribs
and enjoy. Cheers - Ken, November 15, 2009
